If you've made it out to the Boston Common for Commonwealth Shakespeare's Coriolanus yet, you know that the weather is becoming something of a character in itself! The play is open, the Good Luck Red-tailed Hawks (3!) have graced the set, and the humidity is insisting on having some stage time, but it's a great show, and really people seem quite comfortable out on the cool grass (especially with some ice cream in hand). There's one more week of performances, so don't miss it! Bring a chair, a blanket, a picnic, your well-behaved dog – just come! Tu-Sat at 8pm and Sunday at 7pm on the Boston Common until the 12th, near the Parkman Bandstand. Admission is free, chair rental is $7, and reserved VIP chairs are available for a tax-deductible $30 donation. Visit the CommShakes website for more info, and don't miss the Ben & Jerry's truck featuring the C-Oreo-Lanus Sundae (really, don't).
I'm also happy to be working with Zeitgeist Stage Company again this coming winter! I've been cast as Monica in Life of Riley by Alan Ayckbourn. Performances are February 8 – March 2, 2013 (man is that a weird year to write!).
Stay cool, and come enjoy some free Shakespeare!
