On The Road! Taking classic literature to the South.

A flurry of events took place once Coriolanus closed, all resulting in my current situation: typing on a tiny netbook in the middle seat of a 15-passenger van with 5 other actors on the way from Myrtle Beach, SC to Augusta, GA. Yep! I'm on tour!

I was cast with Chamber Theater Productions' fall national tour of “Encore!” an adaptation of short stories from classic literature, being performed for schools October through December. Our cast is taking the south eastern stretch of the country, from the Carolinas through Texas. We're just ending week three, and I'm having a blast playing Lenore in Poe's “The Raven,” Katrina VanTassel in “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” Matilda Loisel in “The Necklace,” Amelia Morris in “The Monkey's Paw,” and the Narrator in “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County,” adapted from Mark Twain.

I'm seeing a whole lot of country I've never even been near before, AND getting to sample every possible incarnation of free continental hotel breakfast the south has to offer. And of course, performing some beautiful stories for kids who may be experiencing theater for the first time in their lives.

I haven't left the northeast completely, though. Soon you'll able able to see me on billboards for Southern NH Medical Center Immediate Care (from this commercial). Cool!

So enjoy the fall leaves for me, and I'll be back just in time for 2013!
