12th Annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards!

I am SO excited: I'm a finalist!

I'm honored to have received my second nomination for Best Actress in a Professional Drama/Comedy for the role of Cassius in Julius Caesar, which I performed last March with Advice to the Players.

This was an incredibly fun show that brought Caesar into the 21st century by including women as major parts of the political and military atmosphere of the story. Some of my favorite memories of it come from post-show talk-backs, hearing students' thoughts on our modern-dress production such as their reactions to a female Cassius and how Caesar is relevant to our attitudes towards leadership today.

I couldn't be prouder of my Advice To The Players family as well, who have a total of five nominees as finalists this year!
Best Production: Much Ado About Nothing
Best Director: Mark Woollett (for Much Ado)
Best Actor: John Schnatterly (for Benedick in Much Ado)
Best Actress: Candace Clift (for Beatrice in Much Ado)
Best Actress: me!

The Awards Show is Saturday, January 25th in Derry NH. I'm so happy to go and celebrate success with friends, and to represent a company that does truly outstanding work engaging their kids and communities with the beautiful language and stories of Shakespeare.

The full list of 2013's nominees are here.

Rehearsals for Richard III start in about a month. In the meantime, I've already had a few fun auditions for 2014, and may have a fun project or two lined up already!
